Does Reiki have Side Effects? (A Seer shares what she saw)

In an instant, the Holy Spirit healed both my knees!

Laid up in a hotel room on a business trip, legs stretched out in front of me, I had worn out my two injured knees (one damaged in a bad ice-fall and the other hyperextended on a trampoline) walking the hills of San Fransisco the two days’ prior. I have been familiar with lots of energy-type healing, including reiki, in researching modalities for my alternative health book, Med Free Bipolar, but I had never experienced God’s healing touch until this moment. It was like every healing story in the New Testament came alive in my hotel room. It was like I was blind and now I saw!

Watching some Todd White street healing videos, he prayed for some guys’ knee on the street. SO weird, but cool I thought! Then, fire (hot, but not painful) and tingling, came over both my knees at once in a very distinct sensation, and both my knees were healed, instantly, while watching some dude pray for someone else’s knee! The room filled with peace and joy in that moment, like a sliver of Heaven had opened up. I got up, gingerly squatted down without pain, and then looked like a Russian Cossack dancer squatting all over the hotel room testing out my new knees and whooping! No one but the Holy Spirit could have touched my knees to heal them like that! That was in April 2017, and they are still very much healed!

In my book, I try to take a more diplomatic, journalistic (meaning non-biased) approach to talking about reiki, but in my blog, let me make myself very clear: I do NOT like Reiki, and think it comes with a litany of spiritual side effects that Believer’s and non-Beleiver’s should steer very clear from. Comparing that healing to my experiences with reiki are night and day. I can tell when people are using reiki energy on me, I don’t exactly know how to describe it, but I will try. Typically, when someone is using reiki, they will ask permission to touch you, and then may cradle your neck in their hands. When this has happened (when I have unwittingly given permission in a massage, or cranial sacral therapy, or a ‘chiropractic warm-up massage’, I can ‘see’ (as in seeing in the Spirit), a cord being set up, almost like an umbilical cord, burrowing it’s way to attach, and feel tingling or buzzing at the base of my head where I can ‘see’ the cord. Once, after this happened, I took my fingers and symbolically cut it off, rebuking it in the name of Jesus. The tingling and burrowing sensation stopped. Some people may call this a ley-line. I do not have all the answers about these, but I have seen them many times. How do I SEE? I am a biblical SEER, someone who God has opened the Spirit eyes of my heart (as opposed to third-eye soul sight). I also have a very strong Gift of Discerning Spirits, but I am not immune to deception myself, no one is.

Another time I experienced, reiki was incorporated into the session by a cranial sacral therapist, whose intentions were very good, but something came into me, shrouded my brain, and even caused me to physically pass out behind the wheel of my car and hit the person in front of me! I was actually consciously resisting what felt like a veil being lowered inside my brain, right before I lost consciousness! (I know, I am just soooo weird!) This was within just a couple hours of the session, but I knew it was related to my first session with her. From then on, my judgement was so shrouded for the next several months that I kept going back to her like I was addicted, even when my husband insisted for me to have nothing to do with her! I usually trust his judgement, but I became very belligerent and even had some personality changes until I had to undergo a full-on deliverance session with Jesus (that story in my book or other blogs!) So what is Reiki, and how could this happen?

Reiki – According to the dictionary, reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch (or even long-distance), to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being.” Reiki incorporates the use of “spirit guides” and “beings of light” to channel this energy through the practitioner into the client.

According to proponents of Reiki, “In treating yourself and others: ‘Reiki psychic surgery can be especially helpful…there are higher sources of help you can call on. Angels, beings of light and Reiki spirit guides as well as your own enlightened self are available to help you. They can help you develop your Reiki practice by directing clients to you and assisting with treatments. They can be of great benefit, but you must have a strong spiritual intention for your work if you are to recruit their aid.'” (www.reiki.org)

Now reiki is “coming standard” as training in most massage schools, and a lot of people who practice massage are also using energy work on you oftentimes without you knowing it. After even being lied to a couple of times, I now have to ask “Oh, do you do Reiki?” in a hopeful tone of voice, or I may just get lied to, only to see/feel it being done to me later (most people can’t feel this like I can).

The history of reiki comes from Buddhist texts, among others, through Dr. Mikao Usui.  He was an adopted missionary kid, who was fascinated by Jesus’ power to perform miracles, but instead of seeking the Holy Spirit, he chased after eastern mystic texts, and now Reiki uses occultic symbols, atunements, and invocations of spirit guides.

I have had several experiences with Reiki and not a one of them has been pleasant, but I do know people who have had beautiful and peaceful experiences, although the enemy has quite the false serenity that is very powerful.

Is there such a thing as Christian Reiki? No. I do not believe so, and nor do I believe it should be “redeemed” for the Kingdom. We already have access to the power of the Holy Spirit and partnering with Heaven’s angels who harken to the Word of the Lord. We do not need to invoke other guides, ascended masters, astral beings, higher selfs, or attempt to “redeem reiki”.

Think these are benevolent guides, “of the light”, so they say? I encourage you to read the true story: Betrayed by Her Guardian Angel by Stacie Spielmanhere is a little excerpt: “In a state of shock, Eve mouthed Saul’s name, dreading to hear his answer. “Saul?” she said in a quivery voice, “Are you a dark one too?”

“I’m afraid so,” Saul murmured. His voice in Eve’s mind was soft – not loud and insulting as Gideon’s had been. Through her mind’s eye, Eve could see his face with its brown skin and soulful brown eyes. In her mind, he looked the same as before – distinguished yet playful; wise; handsome, with his closely cropped crown of white hair; and oh so very loving. Yet he had just admitted to being a demon! “I wish I could say I weren’t. But I am.”

I have read many stories like this, stories of ‘angels’ turning dark on them, stories of people having out of body experiences during reiki sessions, sensations of being abducted, and more! I have even seen demons disguised as angels myself (quite the story)!

I do not believe all energy work is bad, however, and things like the BEMER, Riffe machines, sound & frequency devices (like the Qwest and Asyra), tuning forks, and more can have benefits at the cellular level. YHWH spoke us into existence, and science has confirmed that all matter is made up of sound and frequency, I just don’t want a stranger’s spirit guide’s involved in channeling those energies without informed consent.

Want a reiki-free massage therapist? I know several who opted out of the reiki classes in massage school and were still allowed to graduate, so just ask if you do not want this done to you. But be careful, some of them are very sneaky as I have found out the hard way! Remember, our job is to be discerning, not judging, and if you are someone who practices Reiki, ask the Lord to show you the truth, and the truth will set you free! The Holy Spirit’s healing is complete and does not come with a hidden agenda or price to pay later. Blessings!

Yoga and Mental Health (part ii)

LISTEN HERE FOR THE DOMINION FIRE PODCAST INTERVIEW

(See part one of this blog for my Seer (seeing into the ‘unseen’ realm) Story of the vision I had regarding my own participation in Yoga and how it caused ‘bipolar symptoms’)

Yoga. This is a topic that seems to divide families, churches, Believers and Unbelievers alike. My own brother, whom I love dearly, has studied yoga with masters around the world, and has had a Kundalini awakening experience, as well as being born again as a child. I love him but do not agree with him that it is harmless or even beneficial. Advanced Yogis can even shape-shift, which my brother has witnessed first hand, and which is the ultimate goal of Yoga and one of the “enlightenment” ends. (I feel these risks outweigh the rewards, just like most prescription meds. Not all med free methods are equal).

Yoga –

Yoga means to be “yoked” with Brahman—the Hindu concept of god. The poses are used in idol/deity worship in India, with their roots in mystical Egypt, and these “stretches” as we call them, are performed in front of their Hindu deities at the temples. Even the order of the poses is symbolic! The Hindus themselves think it absurd how Americans try to separate the physical exercise from the religious/spiritual aspect of yoga. The year I lived abroad in Japan, I studied world religions and Shinto-Buddhism, visiting temples and witnessing the various Buddhist forms of yoga that can be found in adapted forms across Thailand, China, and other Eastern parts of the world. It is often offending to them that yoga, a sacred spiritual practice of bodily worship to their idols, has been secularized for health benefits of movement. If you are not Hindu or Buddhist, then there are other ways to get exercise unless you want the spiritual and physical aspects that go together. If you want to experience Eastern Mystic (vs Christian Mysticism) enlightenment and the “kundalini” awakening of being yoked with the Serpent, then yoga may be a valid option for you. Just know what you are doing before you blindly do it, out of respect to yourself and the practice itself.

Yoga Teachers are Missionaries of Hinduism!

“The Hindu Vishva Parishad in its magazine very clearly states that the yoga teachers are the front missionaries.”An editorial from Hinduism Today titled “An open letter to evangelicals” written by its editor a Hindu monk states, “There is a growing missionary spirit in Hinduism..a small army of yoga missionaries is ready to go to the west.” ( Source: Christianity Today, April 8th 1991, pg 64)” (Quoted Source: Martus Ministry)

This word of caution when it comes to yoga and mental health: although it would seem that yoga is the ultimate relaxation exercise, teaching breathing and centering, many people have had an unexpected side effect: Yogis warn that yoga practice can endanger one’s sanity. In describing the awakening of “kundalini” (coiled serpent power) Gopi Krishna records his own experience as follows: “It was variable for many years, painful, obsessive…I have passed through almost all the stages of…mediumistic, psychotic, and other types of mind; for some time I was hovering between sanity and insanity.

“One often hears and reads about the dangers of Yoga, particularly of the ill-reputed Kundalini Yoga. The deliberately induced psychotic state, which in certain unstable individuals might easily lead to a real psychosis, is a danger that needs to be taken very seriously indeed. These things really are dangerous and ought not to be meddled with in our typically Western way. It is a meddling with Fate, which strikes at the very roots of human existence and can let loose a flood of sufferings of which no sane person ever dreamed. These sufferings correspond to the hellish torments of the chönyid state…” –C. G. Jung, The Tibetan book of the Dead

Carl G. Jung is known as the father of analytical psychology. He was a renowned psychiatrist and spent most of his life studying Eastern and Western philosophies.

“When my kundalini energy awakened I started seeing snakes everywhere: on TV, newspapers, I heard conversations about snakes and even dreamed about them. I felt the kundalini energy moving in me and causing physical discomfort. I felt pressure and buzzing in my ears and during one night it was almost unbearable, I started even fearing that I would not be able to remain sane.” –Simona Rich, meditator

Many books talk about these seemingly not-well-known side effects of meditation and yoga. My point is that health care professionals and those of us practicing self-care should be well educated before embarking on practices blindly or recommending them to patients. People already experiencing psychosis or who are susceptible to psychotic episodes should research these topics even more thoroughly before partaking. Books that discuss this further include:

unholy yoga

This morning, the Lord spoke to me again about this topic, confirming I was doing His will. I opened my Bible to Romans 12:1 “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice–the kind he will accept.” I encourage you to go read the rest of that verse and the next, but it is here where He said: “Yoga = an unholy sacrifice of your body to idols.” Just cause you call it Holy Yoga does not make it Holy.

Stretches are stretches, but Yoga postures are not stretches! They are bowing in homage and salutations to sun and moon gods, tribute to deities’ conquests, and all kinds of interesting history you can find at www.whatswrongwithyoga.wordpress.com.  Once you do a “side bend” in a Yoga class, it is mystically transformed into a crescent moon salute, beckoning the deity seeking that worship. Sounds crazy, I know, but I am good speaking ‘crazy truth’!

I interviewed a few people regarding Yoga, and this is a good summary regarding the sentiments: Interview with Cyndi Millett with www.liifetree.wordpress.com

Me, Q: “Cyndi, in your experience in the mental health and inner healing/deliverance arena, what has been your experience with Yoga, if any?”

Cyndi, A: “Two things that have really stood out to me about yoga- three I guess- every move/pose is an actual expression of worship to one of their “gods” which are actually dark spirits posing as gods; they don’t seem to realize they are communing with spirit beings in their participation of yoga.

I watched a show/news documentary on how one woman went to yoga only a few times and they gave her a mantra-shortly after she began hearing voices and went to a psych service and was diagnosed schizophrenic- what she didn’t know, and they couldn’t tell her, was the mantra was chanting one of those eastern/god demons names and it attached itself to her- which caused the voices and led to her false diagnosis. Psychology is slow recognizing how the spirit realm functions.

Third, much of the church, in naïveté, desires to whitewash and baptize other religion’s methods as exercise or being more spiritually enlightened and believe it’s fine with Jesus. I don’t agree that a) we can redeem certain religious and occult things for use as Christians, b) when we try, we are giving access for those things to hang around and influence our souls and bodies. C) Jesus Fiercely (passionately) guards us from having other gods that will deceive us into a false peace and other negative fruits/ experiences. I don’t believe He’s okay with it at all. I believe the Holy Spirit is grieved at people’s willful denial and poor use of discernment.

Me, Q: What can we do to warn others, in LOVE?

Cyndi, A: “Pastors and prophets need to get back to their role of separating the pure from the profane to be salt and keep generations from slipping into occult and false religions. I can’t recall the last time I heard a message in a church warning people from such devotions. There’s all kinds of mix in the church today and this needs to change–a call to consecration is being heard in the spirit present–who has ears to hear it? And who will respond?”

Me: “I agree, I watched a YouTube video where a young Christian loved the Beatles (I do also) and was introduced to Yoga through her sister and their music. Just ONE meditation/yoga poses experience in her home invoked a demon, and when she opened her eyes, the demon was sitting across the room looking at her, and she said it looked just like one of the Hindu Deities! That was her one and only time tampering with yoga. We often know not what we do, or what is happening in the supernatural realms.  I absolutely agree that there is often a counterfeit version of truth, but that not all occult things need to be redeemed or attempted to be taken over/back by Christians. I believe Yoga is one of them. The Lord has clearly shown me to be separate from this practice of idol worship, and attempts like Praise Moves (best of them), Holy Yoga, Scripture Yoga, Christian Yoga are just making a mockery of Believers. In love, I hope to share my story to spare even one family the horror we went through. And I am calling all churches and Believers, please stop hosting Holy Yoga retreats, seminars, and sharing your space with Yoga classes. For what communion or yoking should we have with darkness?”

“I still faithfully held on to the yoga which absolutely flung me deeper and deeper into the pit. I became suicidal and the anger in me grew. I recall saying in front of my mom “ I am going to take you all down with me” in a voice that was not mine. It shocked my mom and myself and I stopped for a minute and said “ that was not me.” People thought I was crazy literally.” Purvi, Martus Ministry

Could Yoga actually Cause Mental Illness? (What a Seer saw will shock you)

LISTEN HERE FOR THE DOMINION FIRE PODCAST INTERVIEW!

Have you heard of Hot Yoga? Christian Yoga? Scripture Yoga? Holy Yoga? Praise Moves? What are your thoughts on these practices? Have you even given them much thought?

I hadn’t given it much thought until I had to stare it in the face. Parts of this story I intentionally left out of my book (Med Free Bipolar, Amazon) because I was not ready to share, but as I see more and more people participating in Yoga, even churches, Christian retreats and conferences, I want to share my experience.

(This is my experience shared in love and not an invitation to attack me. Video version of some of this story on Facebook)

In the months leading up to my worst spiritual encounter to date in October of 2011, I had been feeling well and completely whole mentally. I had decided to more aggressively do research for my book: a version I thought would look different than the one I wrote. It was going to contain information on all the alternative modalities that are available to- day to treat mental illness naturally. I was going to try all of them that did not seem too far ‘off-Christian-based’. Med Free Bipolar was also going to be written anonymously. But instead of finding improvements to my mental health with each treatment I started…I started presenting psych symptoms for the first time in five years! My mental health started to decline, but in a newly strange and terrifying way. All the “text- book” symptoms were there, but in a way that was not familiar to me in how they had presented before I ever got well. I even started tracking symptoms again, something I had not needed to do in years. I sought help and considered going back on meds, seeing a counselor and clinic with med-management as backup for the first time in five years.

I was getting sick, very sick, despite my well-developed med free methods. Then, weird things started happening. My husband was having dreams of demons and my children all started having night terrors at once. One life-changing night, it was like a massive swirl of darkness filled me. Rage, mixed moods, rapid cycling, and visions of death filled me. It was unlike anything I had experienced before, it was so much worse, more intense, and I wanted to throw myself out the window to stop the torture! I had never felt such extreme states before. I went upstairs to be alone lest I hurt someone or something. The emotional and physical pain escalated and crescendoed. I stared in the mirror but the eyes were not blue like mine, they were all black and unfamiliar. I was scared. I grasped at every “remedy” I knew. I swallowed choline and inositol, sprayed lavender and tried to do the yoga child’s pose on the floor I had learned at the YMCA recently.

I wanted something, anything to relieve the torture going on in my head and body. I hit the button on the radio but heard no music coming from it, only the screams in my head followed by deafening silence. It felt like my ears were stopped up, like something was stabbing at my eardrums from the inside, or stuffed with cotton. Then something dark swam and swirled before my eyes and the room went black. I could NOT see, and I thought I had gone blind instantly. Falling to my knees I leaned forward into child’s pose. I held my hands upright in front of my face but nothing but blackness was seen through my open eyes. I was blind and deaf! Bipolar had never felt like this before, even in my complete psychosis in 1999.

Finally: exhausted, spent, desperate, and I don’t know why, as I had not prayed in a very long time, I screamed: “God, Jesus, Jesus, Help Me, help me PLEASE!” I do not know if I even meant it, least of all expected it to work! Instantly, the blackness dissipated just like it had come on: black swirls exited my eyes and I watched as they dissipated into the ceiling! And all the pain and symptoms disappeared instantly. The swirls of rage, anger, hatred, physical suffering, and mixed episodes were gone! My eyes were working, seeing and my ears unstopped. Immediately I heard a song fill the room, clear and actually quite loud, the volume turned up high in my desperate attempt to hear the radio when I had turned it on. It was a song I had never heard before. I felt like the words were directed into me, filling me, as if the artist had written them just for this moment, just for me. “Be still, there is a Healer His love is deeper than the sea His Mercy is unfailing His arms, a fortress for the weak (Chris Tomlin)”. The next instant I was taken into a vision, but it is a different vision that I want to share this time, one the Lord showed me as to HOW all of this happened in the first place, a vision I did not publish in my book.

I preface this with: as you know, a vision is only a partial glimpse that God gives you into a subject. I asked God to show me what had opened doors in my life and I had a series of visions over time regarding that period of my life. A screen popped up (as if in my imagination but way more vivid) and I saw myself sitting in a “non-spiritual” yoga class I had only attended about twice at the local YMCA. It was just like it had been when I was actually there a couple months prior, same mat, same clothes, but it was like I was looking down on the room from above. As I sat on my mat, a bat-man-signal-like light emanated from the top of my head, then the Lord spoke to my heart and said “Yoga is bodily worship of idols and it yokes you to spirits seeking worship. It always has been and always will”.  I then saw that the very poses attracted dark wisps of spirits who sought to be worshipped and signaled them that I was “open”. They were then entering my mind through the top of my head! I saw all this after the fact, but it was like I was seeing the real + the supernatural + from above, at the same time.

Romans 12:1-2 “Brothers and sisters, in view of all we have just shared about God’s compassion, I encourage you to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, dedicated to God and pleasing to him. This kind of worship is appropriate for you. Don’t become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants—what is good, pleasing, and perfect.”

I have had some other people tell me similar things and it is usually Christians who get REALLY defensive with me if I have ever said anything… so I don’t usually. Yoga, even just the few times I went, felt euphoric, like a drug. Even my son commented on how relaxed and happy I seemed after class. According to Purvi, a former Yogi Master, spirits entering the body will “chemically alter the system”, even making one feel high as if on a drug! It is a false peace, and one that comes with a high price!

Now, in my Brain Health Ministry clinic, I see client after client present symptoms of physical or mental illnesses never before experienced until “trying” yoga! One girl even had her first ever panic attack in her first ever yoga class. Now any form of Yoga is something I will not have anything to do with. I have seen in the spiritual realm other things (like Reiki) that open doors to the enemy and my stance is just to draw a line in the sand for myself and warn others without judgement. I was shown in that vision that the direct cause of the spiritual doors opened in my home for my kids’ night terrors torment, my husband’s demonic encounters, and my rage-filled ‘bipolar episode’ and subsequent blinding by “dark entity wisps” were all caused by my attending a ‘harmless’, ‘non-spiritual’ yoga class at the YMCA (originally founded as a Christian organization)!  It was the price I paid for participation, even though my intent was FAR from idol worship!

Spiritual, religious, quantum, and supernatural aspects regarding mental illness have long been debated. I believe both neurobiological and/or spiritual reasons exist for some people with mental illness. I have since learned of may people who were diagnosed with physical or mental illnesses after participating in any yoga, even “Christian Yoga” (an oxymoron), and other spiritual ramifications in their home or family. So what is Yoga?

Yoga IS Idol Worship, plain an simple. The physical “stretches” for exercise and health benefits cannot be separated from the spiritual. (For an in-depth study on this, see a litany of research by former Yogi: Purvi)  Her viral YouTube videos are also a great wealth of this topic and confirm thousands of similar stories that she has received.

Not sure if “Holy Yoga”, or other “Christian Yoga’s” would have the same outcome as my experience above? Invite a Seer (Pronounced “SEE-ER”) (someone who God has given the ability to use the eyes of their heart to see into the spiritual realm) to help and ask God for the Gift of Discernment. [“Unauthorized use” of this spiritual seeing is the ‘third eye’ sight, a counterfeit version of the Seer gift] or someone with a strong Gift of Discerning Spirits to come see what goes on “behind the scenes”… unfortunately, even demons can disguise as beings of light, so it takes the eyes of the heart to see from far above the lies.

See Blog Part ii for the “proof” and a great interview!

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
